The Story:
This, along with and its Sister bottle, the wide-mouth version, helped millions of outdoor folks stay hydrated as the get-outdoors movement of the 70s & 80s exploded. Lightweight, strong, leakproof and able to bounce nicely when accidently knocked off a tall rocky ledge.
In the early 2000s, Nalgene and others introduced clear, prettier and stronger bottles that quickly became the bottle of choice. The new bottles didn't have that plasticy smell that would build up when the cap was left on too long, nor did they tend to crack when they were left alone in storage for years.
So why do we offer this particular Nalgene bottle, you ask. 2 reasons: 1.) It's a much more affordable water bottle than the stronger & colorful Tritan bottles that Nalgene offers. And most importantly, 2.) It has star power and is a companion product for folks who are interested in collecting reproduction movie props.
