THE STORY:
This wall art was cut and laser engraved from a piece of log reclaimed from one of the former A16 mountain shops. Each one has been hand made by me with the hope that it will inspire its viewer to explore and help preserve our planet's wilder places. -John D. Mead, Trail Boss @ A16
Made from a Montana grown Lodge Pole Pine and has been repurposed from a log used for many years in an A16 mountain shop location. Because of this, you should expect to find natural and other human or animal caused blemishes such as cracks, an occasional nail or bug hole. If you're lucky, some bluing stain is visible. Bluing is caused by fungi which was initially transmitted by mountain pine beetles. Each plaque is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art.
