IMPORTANT INFORMATION & GUIDELINES FOR SELLERS

Thank you for your interest in securing a space to sell outdoor gear and/or clothing at A16’s Great Outdoor Gear & Clothing Exchange at Helix Brewing Co. in La Mesa from 9:00 – Noon on Saturday May 10.

The exchange/selling area will be held in the brewery’s parking lot and individual selling spaces are limited. It is important that we restrict the type of products offered for sale and maximize the amount of gear being sold out of each space.

  • Sellers can begin setting up at 7:30 AM and must arrive no later than 8:15 AM. Ready to sell by 8:45. If an approved seller has not arrived to claim their space by 8:15, they risk forfeiting their reserved space, and the space may be assigned to a seller on the Waiting List. Please consider having breakfast and supporting the on-site FOOD TRUCK.
  • Except for A16, no other retail businesses are allowed to sell. There will be some manufacturers’ Reps selling their new samples. This is a grassroots event designed to help outdoor enthusiasts to sell their excess gear & clothing, and in the process, give it new life, keep it out of the landfill and help outdoors folks get great deals.
  • If you don’t have enough gear to fill up a 10’ X 10’ space, there are some options. 1.) There will be a seller common area where you can have enough space alongside others to display and sell just a few items. 2.) You can invite someone you know to share your space. OR 3.) We can match you up with someone who is in the same situation to share your space with you.
  • Once your application is approved, you will be encouraged to make a $16 donation to the ADVENTURE 16 FOUNDATION 501(c)(3) to help with some minor event expenses. Any excess funds collected will go toward the Foundation’s purpose of gearing up underserved youth for meaningful backpacking trips & courses. To learn more about the A16 Foundation, go to: Adventure16.com and click on the FOUNDATION tab.
  • The gear & clothing that you’ll be offering for sale should be for use with one or more of the following outdoor human powered activities: Hiking & Trail Running, Backpacking, Tent Camping, Mountaineering, Mountain Biking, Snow Sports, and Adventure Travel. Outdoor books, maps & artwork as well as Vintage & Antique Outdoor gear & clothing will also be allowed.
  • The use of a Pop-Up Canopy & tables are encouraged but not required.
  • All sellers are expected to stop selling at Noon and have spaces cleaned up by 12:30 PM. Please plan to ‘Leave No Trace.’
