THE STORY:
We began selling water bottles in addition to the few products we manufactured in the early 70's. Back in the day, most bottles we found leaked and couldn't withstand the rigors mountaineers required for this very important piece of gear. We found that Nalgene with their expertise in manufacturing bottles for the pharmaceutical industry were high quality enough to take a likin and keep on tickin. Even when dropped full of liquid from a considerable height. Now 50 years later Nalgene is still considered the standard bearer for those of us who require reliability when wilderness calls.
