THE STORY:
This wall art was cut and laser engraved from a slice of log reclaimed from one of the former A16 mountain shops. I've hand made each plank with the hope that it will inspire all who see it to explore and help preserve wilderness, and perhaps make the reader smile. -John D. Mead, Trail Boss @ A16
Made from a Montana grown Lodge Pole Pine and repurposed from a log used for decor for several decades in an A16 mountain shop. You should expect to find natural and other human, natural or animal caused blemishes such as cracks, knots and/or an occasional nail or bug hole. If you're lucky, some bluing stain is visible. Bluing is caused by fungi which was initially transmitted by mountain pine beetles. Each plaque is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art.
