THE STORY:
This fun and intricately laser printed drink coaster features an image inspired by California's state flag. When you use this coaster it will help make a statement about the importance of protecting and conserving our wilder places.
It was made from a piece of log salvaged from one of the A16 shops shortly after the physical stores were closed. It was hand made with care by John D. Mead who hopes it will sit on your table and and remind you of a trip or two that you made to A16 back in the day.
This item is made from a full round rail log and has been repurposed from a custom shelving unit once used in an A16 shop. Because of this, each coaster is unique and you should expect to find certain natural and other blemishes including splitting and other natural defects in the wood. A knot or two as well. If you're lucky, you may see small holes were a nail once rested or even better, a beetle hole or two. If only the log slice could talk. It would tell you about it's life in a forest in NW Montana, it's move to SoCal, and all the fun it had literally hanging out at A16 for many a year.
Wood Art Coasters are approximately 3 3/4" in diameter and 3/8" thick. It has a hard finish to resist liquids and a natural cork back to keep your glass from free sailing across a table or bar top.
